MANATEE COUNTY, FL – State troopers said a sedan crashed into a van in Manatee County Friday morning, leaving three people injured.
According to WWSB, the van was stopped on the shoulder of State Road 62 near Walker Road at about 5:30 a.m. A 28-year-old man driving a sedan west on State Road drifted onto the paved section of the shoulder and crashed into the back of the van, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The impact sent the van into a ditch, where it overturned.
The driver of the sedan, a Lake Wales resident, was critically injured in the crash. A 60-year-old woman who was driving the van and her 77-year-old male passenger were seriously injured. Both are Bartow residents.
