ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A suspected drunk driver was arrested and charged after police say he crashed into a police vehicle in St. Petersburg, WFLA reports.
The incident happened in the area of 34th Street and 1st Avenue North on Saturday morning. According to police, 34-year-old Henry Scott was speeding when he hit the back of a police cruiser that was stopped at the intersection. The cruiser then crashed into the car in front of it.
Scott was apprehended after he allegedly tried to run away from the scene. He now faces multiple charges, including DUI involving property damage, leaving the scene of a crash involving property damage, and resisting an officer without violence.
There were no reports of injuries.
