TAMPA, FL – Authorities have made an arrest in connection with a fatal crash in Hillsborough County earlier this month, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

59-year-old Jeffrey Guy of Tampa was arrested Tuesday and charged with vehicular homicide in the Nov. 15 accident. The Florida Highway Patrol said Guy was driving a Ford Explorer at high speed and changing lanes erratically on Hillsborough Avenue when he lost control of the vehicle.

Guy’s pickup truck crossed the median near Countryway Boulevard and slammed into a Nissan Rogue driven by 51-year-old Teresa Maciejewski, who was killed in the wreck.

Guy was seriously injured. Investigators said they noticed signs of impairment when they contacted Guy at the hospital. Police also said he did not have a valid driver’s license at the time of the crash.

Guy was being held Wednesday at the Hillsborough County jail with bail set at $9,500.
