TAMPA, FL – A driver was killed when her car went off the road and crashed on Interstate 75 Wednesday morning, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the victim, a 35-year-old woman, lost control of the vehicle while going south on I-75 near I-4 at about 8:05 a.m.
The car went onto a shoulder of the highway before crashing into a light pole and a sign post. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. She was a Tampa resident whose name was not immediately released.
The cause of the crash is not yet known.
