TAMPA, FL – Authorities said a 22-year-old woman was killed when her car crashed in Pinellas County Friday morning, WTSP reports.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the woman lost control of the vehicle as she was driving south on East Lake Road near Trinity Boulevard at about 6:40 a.m.
The car went onto a shoulder of the road, hit a sewer valve and struck a handrail. The vehicle then plunged about 20 feet into a pond. The driver, a Tampa resident, was pronounced dead at the scene.
