MANATEE COUNTY, FL – State troopers investigating the death of a pedestrian in Manatee County are trying to track down a vehicle that may be connected to the case.
According to WWSB, the victim was a 26-year-old man who was killed Aug. 16 while trying to cross U.S. 301 near 44th Avenue East at about 8:35 p.m. The Florida Highway Patrol said he was struck by a southbound SUV driven by an 83-year-old man from Bradenton.
Investigators said the victim may have also been hit by a second unknown vehicle which left the scene, and that is the vehicle they are now looking for.
Anyone with information regarding the incident was asked to contact Florida Highway Patrol or Crime Stoppers.
