
PALM HARBOR, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on County Road 1 at Manning Road in Pinellas County Saturday morning.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, a 39-year-old woman was driving an SUV south on CR1 at about 9:50 a.m. when she lost control of her vehicle and spun into the northbound lanes.
Her vehicle struck the front end of a northbound SUV driven by a 61-year-old woman from Dunedin. The first SUV was redirected from the impact and was then struck by a northbound passenger bus.
The 39-year-old woman, a Dunedin resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second SUV and the 40-year-old Palm Harbor man who was driving the bus sustained minor injuries.
The FHP said all the drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time.
