OVIEDO, FL – Six people were taken to the hospital following a 15-car crash on SR 417 near Red Bug Lake Rd Sunday, according to Bay News 9.
The initial crash involved two 18-year-old drivers. One was driving a Volkswagen Jetta and the other was operating a Chevy Cruz. They crashed on southbound SR 417 near Red Bug Road.
The first collision created a chain reaction that included 13 other vehicles.
According to the FHP, the two 18-year-old drivers, who were both hospitalized, gave different accounts concerning the cause of the crash.
The incident is still under investigation by FHP.
