
BROOKSVILLE, FL – 17 people, including 10 inmates, were injured after a vehicle crashed into a sheriff’s office transport van on I-75 this morning.
According to Bay News 9, a passenger vehicle failed to slow for the van and ended up rear-ending it near the US-98 interchange.
Two transportation officers, 10 inmates, and all five occupants of the passenger vehicle were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
It is unclear at this time if the driver responsible for the crash will face any charges.
