
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL – Authorities said a young woman was killed after the car she was driving collided with two other cars in Hillsborough County Tuesday night.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, the accident happened in the vicinity of East College Avenue and 6th Street SE at about 11:35 p.m. The Florida Highway Patrol said a 19-year-old Ruskin woman was driving on 6th Street SE when she drove into oncoming traffic and collided with the two other vehicles. Her car and one of the other cars went across the shoulder of the road and ended up in a home’s front yard. Both cars struck a tree, and the 19-year-old woman’s car overturned and caught fire. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of one of the other cars, a 21-year-old Wimauma man, and his passenger were seriously injured. The driver of the third car, a 21-year-old Riverview man, was not hurt.
