HUDSON, FL – Two teenagers were critically injured when they were struck by a vehicle on a Pasco County roadway Friday night, reports WFLA.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the two boys, ages 13 and 14, were hit by an SUV in the area of State Road 52 and Chicago Avenue in Hudson. Investigators said the teens were trying to walk across the road despite the fact that there was a red pedestrian signal. They were hit by an SUV which had the green light.
The victims were flown to an area hospital, where they were listed in critical condition.
A motorist who drove through the area moments before the crash told a reporter she had to drive around the teens to avoid hitting them.
