3 injured when SUV rear-ends public transit bus in north Sarasota

SARASOTA, FL – Three people were injured when an SUV and a bus collided in north Sarasota on Friday, reports WWSB.

The Florida Highway Patrol said a Sarasota County Area Transit bus was allowing passengers to board at a bus stop on Stickney Point Road near Couver Drive. The bus was then struck from behind by a Jeep SUV heading west on Stickney Point Road.

Three people sustained minor injuries and were transported by EMS units to a local hospital. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
