TRILBY, FL – A collision in Pasco County Tuesday morning left one driver dead and another injured, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
The accident occurred on U.S. 301 near Trilby Road at about 8:50 a.m. The Florida Highway Patrol said a 21-year-old driver going west on Trilby Road stopped, turned left, and entered the path of a 70-year-old man who was going north on U.S. 301.
The vehicles collided and the 70-year-old, a Zephyrhills resident, sustained fatal injuries. The driver of the first car, a man from Lacoochee, was seriously injured.
The Florida Highway Patrol said there is a stop light at that intersection, but it was not yet evident which driver had the green light at the time of the accident.
