PASCO COUNTY, FL – An elderly man was killed when his pickup collided with another vehicle in Pasco County Thursday morning, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, an 83-year-old Clearwater man was driving the pickup on Bolton Avenue when he went through a stop sign at U.S. 19 at about 6:15 a.m.
His vehicle was then struck by an SUV that was headed north on U.S. 19. The pickup’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not immediately released.
The two men in the SUV, a 26-year-old driver and his 27-year-old passenger, were not injured. Troopers said the man who was killed was not wearing a seat belt.
