Bicyclist critically injured after being hit by vehicle at Largo intersection

LARGO, FL – A bicyclist was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle at an intersection in Largo Sunday afternoon, police said.

According to Fox 13 News, Largo police responded to the scene in the vicinity of Walsingham Road and Oval Drive after the accident occurred at about 12:15 p.m.

Investigators determined that the driver of the vehicle was making a left turn from Walsingham Road onto Oval Drive when the bicycle rider was hit. The victim was listed in critical condition after being transported.

The incident shut down Walsingham Road eastbound for several hours.
