SARASOTA, FL – Police and emergency crews were on the scene of a boat accident in Sarasota over the weekend that sent three people to the hospital, according to WFLA.
Officials with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said a 22-foot vessel was involved in the crash near Flamingo Avenue at about 4 p.m. Saturday.
The boat struck a channel marker and a seawall, investigators reported. Three of the six people on board the boat were injured and were transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital. No details were released on their condition.
An investigation is underway into the cause of the crash.
