Boy dies of injuries after being struck by pickup in Spring Hill

SPRING HILL, FL – A young boy died of his injuries following an accident in Spring Hill last week, Fox 13 News reports.

This is an update to a previous story.

The incident happened when the victim, age 12, was riding a skateboard in a driveway on Norvell Road Dec. 15 at 6:30 p.m.  The Florida Highway Patrol said he went into the road and was hit by a pickup truck near Ludlow Lane.

The boy was seriously injured and was transported to an area hospital, where he passed away the following day.

The 31-year-old man who was driving the pickup is not facing any charges at this time.
