
MYAKKA CITY, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol said a man died after his motorcycle crashed in Manatee County on Saturday.
According to WWSB, the accident happened on 289th Street East near 104th Drive East in the Myakka City area of the county.
Troopers said that the motorcycle driver was going east on 289th Street when he was unable to negotiate a curve. The motorcycle went off the road and struck a wooden fence.
The victim, a 57-year-old Bradenton resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet, troopers said.
The FHP is investigating the cause of the crash.
