PALM HARBOR, FL – A car accident in Pinellas County last week left three people injured, one seriously.
According to The Suncoast News, the crash happened Wednesday evening on U.S. 19 in Palm Harbor near the intersection with Highlands Boulevard. The Florida Highway Patrol said a 69-year-old man was driving north on U.S. 19 at about 7:35 p.m. when he turned left and collided nearly head-on with a sedan driven by a 22-year-old woman. The second car ended up crashing into a fast-food restaurant.
The man, a Palm Harbor resident, sustained serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital. The other driver, a Beverly Hills resident, and a 17-year-old female passenger in her car suffered minor injuries.
The man was cited by the FHP for improperly turning.
