
CITRUS COUNTY, FL – Two people died after their vehicles crashed nearly head-on in Citrus County over the weekend, WTSP reported.
The incident occurred at the intersection of County Road 495 and West Pine Bluff Street at about 2 a.m. Saturday.
The Florida Highway Patrol said a man driving a truck south on County Road 495 veered into the northbound lane and collided with a car, causing the truck to overturn.
The truck driver, a 26-year-old resident of Lecanto, Florida, and the driver of the car, a 34-year-old Citrus Springs woman, were killed in the crash. Their names were not released.
