
PASCO COUNTY, FL – State troopers arrested the driver of an SUV after his passenger was killed in a crash in Pasco County, according to WTSP.
27-year-old Michael Aquila has been charged with DUI manslaughter in connection with the accident Saturday morning in the area of Holiday Lake Drive and Orangeview Lane.
The Florida Highway Patrol said Aquila lost control of the SUV while driving on Holiday Lake Drive at about 3 a.m. The vehicle hit a pole and street sign before overturning and colliding with a tree.
A 22-year-old woman who was in the SUV with him was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not yet been released. Aquila, a resident of Holiday, Florida, sustained minor injuries in the crash.
