
TREASURE ISLAND, FL – Police arrested a driver following a crash that killed a pedestrian in Pinellas County Saturday night, according to WFLA.
Investigators said a woman walking on the sidewalk on Gulf Boulevard in Treasure Island was struck by a GMC Sierra pickup truck at about 10:30 p.m. The victim, identified as 46-year-old Andrea Sullivan, was pronounced dead at an area hospital.
Authorities determined that the driver, 55-year-old Mark Walters, showed indications of impairment. He was subsequently arrested on a DUI manslaughter charge, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said. Walters was taken to the Pinellas County Jail.
