
TAMPA, FL – A driver ran a stop sign and struck a patrol car in a downtown Tampa intersection on Tuesday morning.
The accident occurred at West Cleveland Street and South Dakota Avenue around 6:17 a.m., according to News Channel 8.
While the officer was not injured, he was transported to a local hospital as a precautionary measure. It is unclear if the other driver was hurt, though it was reported they refused treatment.
Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
