Elderly couple killed in crash on US-98 North

POLK COUNTY, FL – According to WTSP, a husband and wife, both 85-years-old, were killed in a car crash on Monday at the intersection of US-98 North and Gibsonia-Galloway Road.

The couple was driving south on US-98 in Lakeland when they tried to turn left but were hit by an oncoming car that had the right of way.

They were taken to a local hospital where they were pronounced dead. The other driver in the crash sustained minor injuries.
