
PORT RICHEY, FL – State troopers say an elderly pedestrian died after being hit by an SUV in Pasco County Tuesday night.
According to The Suncoast News , the accident happened as the woman was walking across U.S. 19 near Springer Drive in Port Richey at about 7:30 p.n.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the 79-year-old woman was hit by an SUV that was going north on the roadway. The victim, a Clearwater resident, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The SUV driver, a 45-year-old Hudson man, was not injured in the incident.
