
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL – A pedestrian accident in Hillsborough County over the weekend left an elderly woman dead, according to WTSP.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the victim was an 84-year-old woman who ran out onto Interstate 275 Saturday night for an unknown reason. The FHP said she was struck by a southbound SUV near Fowler Avenue shortly after 8:30 p.m.
The pedestrian, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene. The SUV was driven by a 43-year-old woman from New York, troopers said. No other injuries were reported.
