TOWN ‘N’ COUNTY, FL – According to ABC Action News, a female pedestrian was fatally struck in a hit-and-run collision on Hillsborough Ave.
Officials with Florida Highway Patrol say that Jesus Manuel Diaz was driving at high speeds on eastbound W Hillsborough Ave when he collided with a 46-year-old woman near Sawyer Rd around 10 p.m.
Diaz then fled the scene of the accident with the remains of the victim on his vehicle. He stopped around a mile away from the crash site, near San Pablo Pl and Yosemite Dr, to dispose of the remains.
Deputies caught up to Diaz at Alvarado Dr and Monte Vista Pl. They charged him with leaving the scene of a crash involving death and transported him to the Hillsborough County Jail.
