CLEARWATER, FL – Police said one driver was killed and another was injured when their cars collided head-on in Clearwater on Wednesday.
WFLA reports the accident occurred on Drew Street between Highland Avenue and Crest Avenue. Investigators determined that 19-year-old Lacedric Graham of Tampa was driving a Toyota Corolla on Drew Street at about 12:40 p.m. when he crossed over the center line and slammed into a Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by 78-year-old Nicholas Fritz.
Graham was pronounced dead at the scene, while Fritz was hospitalized with serious injuries at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg. There was no immediate word on what may have caused Graham to go out of his lane.
