ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A hit-and-run driver collided with and seriously injured a bicyclist on 38th Ave N near 78th St Sunday.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, the driver rear-ended Carl Budinsky, 45, while he was riding an electric bicycle east on 38th Avenue N. The driver then fled the area.
First responders were called to the scene around 4 a.m. They transported Budinsky to an area hospital in critical condition.
Police urge anyone with information concerning the incident to contact them.
