
TAMPA, FL – Drivers in Tampa were facing major rush-hour delays Friday morning following a multi-vehicle crash.
According to WFLA , the accident happened on Interstate 275 near the exits for Himes Avenue and Howard Avenue. A stretch of I-75 south was shut down as the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the incident.
Traffic backups stretched beyond the exit for Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on I-4. Columbus Drive was recommended as an alternate route for drivers trying to avoid I-275.
No information has been released yet on whether anyone was injured in the crash.
