
RUSKIN, FL – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle on a highway in Ruskin Friday morning, according to Patch in Brandon.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the 78-year-old victim was hit when he stepped in front of an SUV while crossing U.S. Highway 41 near 11th Avenue NE at about 10:30 a.m. The pedestrian, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the SUV, a Ruskin man, remained at the accident scene and was cooperating with investigators, authorities said.
