PLANT CITY, FL – A man walking on a Hillsborough County highway was struck and killed by a car Friday night, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the man was in the westbound lanes of Interstate 4 between the exits for N Alexander Street and N Park Road in Plant City. According to troopers, a 43-year-old woman driving a car struck the victim at about 9 p.m. as he walked into the inside west lane of I-4.
The man, whose identity was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 13-year-old girl in the car sustained minor injuries. Two adults in the car were not hurt.
