
ST. PETERSBURG, FL – The St. Petersburg Police Department released details on an accident that killed a motorcyclist over the weekend.
The incident occurred Saturday night in the area of 5th Avenue South and 34th Street South at about 8:50 p.m. Investigators said the driver of a Dodge four door was attempting to make a left turn onto 34th Street South when the vehicle was struck by a Yamaha motorcycle going west on 5th Avenue South.
The motorcyclist, identified as 28-year-old Trevon De’Andre Boose of St. Petersburg, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
Police said the other driver remained at the scene. All lanes of traffic were shut down in the area following the crash, which remains under investigation.
