
HUDSON, FL — An accident on a Pasco County highway claimed the life of a motorcycle rider on Monday afternoon.
Patch reports the incident occurred in the area of U.S. 19 and Tower Drive in Hudson at about 4:40 p.m. The Florida Highway Patrol said the motorcyclist was making a U-turn while going north on U.S. 19 and turned into the path of a tractor-trailer truck that was headed south.
The 61-year-old motorcyclist was hit by the truck and was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s name was not released. The truck was driven by a 43-year-old Spring Hill man. No other injuries were reported in the crash.
