
MANATEE COUNTY, FL – A motorcycle rider died after colliding with a car in Manatee County Saturday afternoon, reports WWSB.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver of the car was attempting to turn into the parking lot of a gas station on 15th Street East near Tallevast Road at about 2:40 p.m. The motorcyclist, who authorities say was driving over the speed limit, crashed into the car while it was in the left turn lane.
The 28-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not released. The FHP said he was wearing a helmet at the time.
