Motorcyclist dies in St. Petersburg collision

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A motorcyclist died in a collision with a car on 5th Avenue North late Friday afternoon.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the crash scene, which occurred near St. Anthony’s Hospital at around 4:30 p.m., according to CBS Tampa Bay.

Local authorities shut down 5th Ave North between 14th Street and 16th Street. Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
