TAMPA, FL – A motorcyclist fatally struck a van on FL 400 in Hillsborough County Friday, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
The collision happened when the driver of a black SUV changed lanes and came into the path of the 34-year-old motorcyclist. The motorcyclist slowed down and swerved into another lane to avoid hitting the SUV. It then rear-ended the van, which a 61-year-old man drove.
First responders were called to the scene around 7:40 p.m. They transported the motorcyclist to a nearby hospital, where he died from injuries sustained in the wreck.
Authorities have not released the names of anyone involved in the incident. It is unclear exactly where on FL 400 the crash took place.
