SARASOTA COUNTY, FL – State troopers said a man was killed when a car crashed into his motorcycle in Sarasota County on Saturday.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the motorcyclist was slowing to make a U-turn while going north on Beneva Road when the driver of a sedan behind him failed to slow down. The car struck the back of the motorcycle and the rider, a 57-year-old man from Sarasota, sustained fatal injuries. Troopers said he was not wearing a helmet at the time.
