LUTZ, FL – A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a vehicle on North Dale Mabry Highway in Hillsborough County Tuesday morning, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The victim was a 21-year-old man from Land O’ Lakes whose name was not released. The Florida Highway Patrol said he was riding southbound at about 9:30 a.m. when the driver of a northbound SUV made a left turn at State Road 568 and entered his path.
The motorcycle struck the right side of the SUV and the rider of the bike was fatally injured. Troopers said he was wearing a helmet at the time. The driver of the SUV, a 17-year-old girl from Odessa, was not injured in the crash.
