Motorcyclist killed in Saturday crash in Largo

LARGO, FL – A motorcyclist was killed Saturday evening by a DUI driver who then fled the crash scene.

According to local reporting , the accident occurred on northbound S Missouri Avenue near Bayview Drive around 10:40 p.m. on Saturday.

Alexa Elisabella Nix was speeding north on Missouri Ave when she changed lanes and crashed into the motorcycle. The motorcyclist was ejected from his vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses helped identify the suspect after she fled the scene. She has been charged with DUI manslaughter, leaving the scene of a crash involving death, and obstruction by disguised person.
