
CHARLOTTE COUNTY, FL – A man has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run crash that injured a motorcyclist in Charlotte County, WWSB reports.
The incident occurred in the area of U.S. 41 and Dalhgren Avenue last month. State troopers said a Honda Accord going south on U.S. 41 went into the northbound lanes and hit the motorcycle, leaving its rider seriously hurt. The driver left the scene of the accident.
On Dec. 3, state troopers found a Honda Accord with a Pennsylvania license plate parked at a residence on Marco Island, Florida. State troopers learned that the front of the car had been repaired, and through investigative work, it was determined that the vehicle was the same one involved in the collision with the motorcycle.
The suspect in the case, Joseph Borisovich Dolbun of North Port, was arrested on Dec. 16. on multiple charges, including leaving the scene of a crash involving serious injury and tampering with evidence.
