GIBSONTON, FL. – A 30-year-old woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 41 in Gibsonton.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, the crash occurred near the intersection of U.S. 41 and Gibsonton Road at around 2:45 p.m. The victim, a 30-year-old woman from Bradenton, was riding in the passenger seat. The driver, a 25-year-old Tampa man, reportedly veered off the road, struck a light pole, a mailbox, and a parked pickup truck.
Authorities have not released any information about the condition of the driver or why the crash occurred.
