
BRADENTON, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol said a pedestrian was killed while trying to walk across a roadway in Bradenton Friday night.
According to Fox 13 News, the incident occurred on U.S. 41 near 27th Avenue West at about 9:25 p.m. Investigators with the FHP said a 54-year-old man was trying to cross at the intersection when he was hit by a southbound pickup truck driven by a 71-year-old Bradenton man.
The pedestrian, a Bradenton resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not immediately released.
State troopers are conducting an investigation into the fatal crash.
