
TARPON SPRINGS, FL – A two-car collision turned deadly when one of the vehicles involved crashed into a pedestrian at Oakmont Ave and Anclote Blvd Sunday.
According to WTSP, a 24-year-old woman was heading north on Oakmont Ave when she failed to completely stop at the intersection with Anclote Blvd and collided with another vehicle that was driven by a 51-year-old woman at around 5 p.m.
The impact sent the 51-year-old woman’s vehicle spinning into a 46-year-old female pedestrian walking on the side of the road.
First responders transported the pedestrian to an area hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
Authorities have not released the names of those involved in the collision.
