Pedestrian injured after being struck by car in Clearwater

CLEARWATER, FL – An accident in Clearwater Friday night left a pedestrian hospitalized, according to Fox 13 News.

Police said a man was trying to walk across Edgewater Drive near Union Street when he was struck by a vehicle at about 6 p.m.

The man was rushed to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with injuries that were reported to be life-threatening. Police said he was not using the crosswalk at the time he was hit.

No information was released about the driver involved.
