PINELLAS PARK, FL – Police in Pinellas Park are searching for a driver who left the scene after hitting a pedestrian on Friday night.
According to Fox 13 News, the incident happened as the male pedestrian was crossing 66th Street North near Bryan Dairy Road at about 9:15 p.m. The 58-year-old victim was hit by two vehicles, police said.
One of the drivers stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators, but the other driver took off without stopping to help. That driver is now being sought by law enforcement authorities, who said he was driving an older black single-cab pickup truck.
The pedestrian, reported to have been a homeless man, was listed in critical condition at an area hospital.
