Police on scene of crash on U.S. 19 in Clearwater

CLEARWATER, FL – The Clearwater Police Department tweeted an alert to drivers about an accident affecting traffic on Thursday afternoon.

The crash happened on southbound U.S. 19 near Nursery Road and was reported shortly before 2 p.m. Police posted a photo of what appeared to have been a two-vehicle collision with one of the vehicles ending up on its side. There was no immediate word on whether anyone was injured.

Police advised motorists to beware of delays in the area while they responded to the crash scene.
