Police respond to fatal hit-and-run accident near Fruitland Heights

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – Two hit-and-run drivers fatally collided with a pedestrian at 18th Ave South and 20th Ave Saturday, WFLA reports.

The 56-year-old male victim was walking along the sidewalk at 18th Ave when he was struck by a blue Kia sedan around 7 p.m. The victim was then run over by a grey sedan.

First responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene of the accident. Police urge anyone with information concerning the incident to contact them immediately.
