SARASOTA, FL – Authorities have charged a suspect in connection with a hit-and-run incident that killed a pedestrian, according to WWSB.
A probable cause affidavit revealed that Alyssa Michelle Raffaele of Sarasota is facing several charges, including DUI manslaughter and leaving the scene of a crash with an injury.
The fatal incident happened in September on S. Osprey Avenue. Authorities linked her vehicle to the pedestrian’s death after a witness provided a matching license plate number and description of the vehicle.
The loss of a loved one in an accident is devastating enough for those left behind, but it is even more tragic when a reckless driver leaves the scene.
