LITHIA, FL – A man who was struck by a vehicle while jogging in Lithia last week is hoping the driver involved can be located, according to ABC Action News.
Jeremy Spurlin said the accident happened Oct. 5 while he was headed home in the area of Dorman Road and Osprey Glen Drive in the FishHawk Ranch neighborhood sometime after 6 a.m. Spurlin was hit from behind by what appeared to be a dark-colored sedan that then left the scene.
He was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital-South in Riverview after sustaining a concussion, deep cuts and scrapes.
Spurlin’s family says they are seeking tips from the public in an attempt to track down the driver, and neighbors have also reportedly sent surveillance footage to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office in a further effort to find evidence.
